Loved this book: it was fascinating to listen to the history of witches and magic but also lovely to hear Alice’s magical journey. It certainly inspires to begin a magical journey of one’s own. Hope she writes more books soon 🔮💚

A biography, historiography and Grimoire in one book

I stumbled across a podcast where the author was interviewed on a BBC Scotland radio show and thought the book sounded interesting. It did not disappoint. Fascinating weaving of modern witchcraft practice and historical details of magical practice and the history of witches over the centuries and how they have been perceived and treated. Beautifully read by the author. I found myself drifting off into a trance almost, listening to her words.

I don't think I've ever called something enchanting before but it's the only word that seems right. Beautifully written and read, it articulated a way of being in the world that I've always felt but never had the words for. I loved it.
