About this listen

The secret is out!

Born into a long line of knights, Fia is determined to become a knight herself, just like all her siblings. But a brush with death awakens memories of her past life as a Saint—a woman who wields rare, powerful healing and protection magic—along with the ability to use that magic herself!

The downside is that Fia also remembers her past life's untimely death, and the danger she will be in if anyone finds out what she really is. She vows to stay on her knighthood path and keep her powers a secret forever! But how can she resist using her newfound powers when they're just so useful?

fun and entertaining

The ideas for this book are good but the execution is poor. Main character is someone you do not feel much for. MC lies so badly that other people see instantly through them. Repeats this mistake many times through the book.

MC is overpowered. How is this handled? By MC being oblivious to the world and own actions.

MC will state one thing and will do the exact opposite to that goal in the next sentence. I want to remain hidden. Joins an organization where she will be spotted easily. I want to remain hidden. Flys in on the back of a legendary creature. I want to remain hidden. Makes a legendary make sword and shows off with it. I want to remain hidden. Takes on an apprentice and makes a magic healing spring. Motivation for this character makes no sense.

MC experiences a life changing event and it has no impact on them. Life goals do not seem to change as an example.

Writing style is odd and often will break up scenes that might have had impact otherwise. Dual narrators never interact. Seems they recorded different pieces at different times.

There's not enough occuring in the story to drive interest to continue reading the series.

Disappointed
