This book had me tearing up multiple times with how heartwarming it was. I enjoyed learning about hockey and the history and culture of the Korean peninsula. The stories about the individual players were diverse and inspiring. I'm now going to start going to women's hockey games here in Finland where I live!

Heartwarming and educational

There was an interesting and moving story on here. It’s a shame it was buried under mountains of detail. Seemingly every minor character in the story gets their own mini deep dive - 70% through the book and suddenly I’m learning about the life history of the assistant coach’s mother. It was also written like a magazine article, with Lloyd’s if quotes from everyone and their dog.
