This is book two in a trilogy but could be read as a standalone.

Two broken souls find pieces of each other to help them heal. Loved it!

Same great narrator as book 1, which I always appreciate. Clear narration and very easy to listen to.

Excellent story-line. Meg the firefighter rescues an old man and his dog from a house fire. The old man then tries to set her up with his son. Meg however has other things on her mind. Many bumps and twists and turns but Meg gets to have her HEA with Troy. Lovely slow burn with a slash of something extraordinary.

This was a sweet love story filled with likeable characters. I was happy to be led on the journey by the pleasant voice of Frances Anderson, who plays all the roles consistently and believably. The premise of the whole series is engaging - and having a strong female protagonist with both superpowers and endearing vulnerability will keep me reading more.
