This one will keep you guessing; it took me awhile to get into it. You can't help but wonder what is going to happen next.

I enjoyed this book too much. Narrator was new to me. I enjoyed her voice. I Loved the story line. Had me in work reacting to certain parts of the book. People asking me if I was ok. This was a must read for me. I can't wait to jump into book two.

This story is well written but I wouldn't have called it a Psychological Thriller. Romantic drama in my opinion is more accurate.
I also wouldn't have called the book A War of Hearts, but more like Drama of Hearts.
This isn't my normal reading - perhaps because I normally stay clear of my friends with severe bad judgement with regards to relationships. This story tears at my heart, makes me mad, and a turmoil of emotions and head games, constant head games...and how communication hurts and solves problems. If you're looking for a book that will make you feel, empathize with characters, get angry at characters this is definitely a book for you.
Just an fyi - no HEA - there is a cliff hanger

This is my first Karen Lynn book, and it left me just at the point that I needed to know the answers! This psychologically entangling story has a love triangle. Kristen is in a toxic marriage with Logan. He is a man with many issues, womanizing, drugs, controlling, you name it, he is the man that makes me cringe. Then there is the sweet side of him that shows me why Kristen married him. Kristen then meets Jake in the park. Here is the handsome, wonderful man that finds the best in Kristen. Their attraction is immediate, hot and full of passion. Jake seems like a great guy, but his insecurity at times was a bit disconcerting. Now put all three of these together with a cast of secondary characters, like Ray and Marti and we have a story that will catch your attention and keep you interested from scene to scene. There are secrets in Jake's past, danger that Logan brings, mass manipulation by both men and Kristen's surprise that will blow it all out of the water and create a decision that left me with my mouth hanging open! I can't wait for book two to see where this will lead!

Claire Riley narrates the story with precision and pace. I didn't think she always connected with the characters, but she does have good voices and carried them consistently through the book. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next.

If you like psychological twists with drama and head games you will get confused and extremely emotional about. I will warn you it does have a good cliffhanger that your probably not going to expect. This was the first time I listened to a book from this author or of this kind of love triangle, and it is filled with a lot of drama and heartache.
