Witty, warm, funny, touching ,,engaging main characters with lovely narration, . I recommend it.

Mia Vinci has written a wonderful romance that’s up there with some of my favourite stories by the likes of Kleypas and Balogh. It’s a keeper and I know I’ll be re-reading it. I’ve jumped straight to amazon to buy her next book. Cassandra and Joshua are both endearing likeable characters and their teasing banter is laugh out loud funny. That said the story has it’s poignant moments, Joshua’s visit to the orphanage had me in tears. I’d also like to compliment Kate Reading for her excellent narration. There was none of that irritating, overly arch tone that can sometimes creep into historical romance narration.

Mia Vincy is a new author to me and I found the book emotional. Married to a man at the behest of her father she doesn't meet him again for two years and doesn't recognise him when she does. In the interim her father dies; her mother takes to drugs; her sister acts like a lunatic and she is at the end of her tether managing their estate. Even so she is good humoured and takes on the challenge of her husband. This story makes you laugh and cry and is a good read.

Enjoyed the audio, it was a nice story with strong female characters, daft younger sisters that drive me cracker, hope to hear of there stories, as that middle sister needs taking in hand. Yes there's a few raunchy chapters, but nothing too scandalous, we'll not for my ears anyway. Denfinworth a listen.

The story line was unique and well formulated. We could have done without the last tragedy tbh I feel like Joshua has been through enough
Surely some other event could have brought them together in the end but nonetheless, I really enjoyed this book. Definitely worth a listen.
