I get why, but still, this was too long! You could easily have cut out at least an hour without spoiling the story.

The lead-in or rather plot-spoiler to the next book at the end, was totally unnecessary and if you didn't realise there are four more books in the series, I can see how other reviewers find it confusing!

The narrator did a reasonable job at different voices and to my untrained ear did a perfectly good range of Scottish voices too, An annoying negative would be the over-enunciating of a "t" all over the place, I wasn't sure if she was trying to have good diction or if it was an affectation, either way it was very annoying!

Overall, I think of the series so far this is the one I enjoyed the most, although if I had to hear "lass" one more time...!!!
