The science and plot are wild. But the comedic self awareness really makes this book. Get ready for high octane hi-jinx with corny one liners coming at you like an artillery barrage. The accents had me cringing as much as the jokes. But if you want a fun filled ride very far away from reality than this book is for you.

excellent storyline

The plot really followed the basic storyline of the old 1980 Flash Gordon movie, with a few minor additions. Ex soldier gets abducted by scientist who discovered a spaceship and a dire threat to the Earth. A beautiful, intelligent woman is along for the ride, and Flash…er Jack, falls for her. The evil warlord wants to add the beautiful Earth woman to his harem, but his daughter (also beautiful) thwarts his dastardly plan. You get it. That said, it was fun and brilliantly acted by Scott Aiello. Recommend for its nostalgic old time comic book vibes if nothing else.
