I liked most about Act & Vist is how much atmosphere and intrigue it packed into such a short listen. The world of a dying Earth felt bleak yet hopeful, and the bond between Min and Lez gave the story real emotional weight. This was a strong introduction that promises even more adventure to come.

A great appetizer for the next installment in the series. I have listened to Object and Visit (the first book), and I listened to this one in preparation for Visit and Propaganda, which are coming next.

The narration is solid, with good voice acting, something that characterizes this franchise and really helps immerse you in the world. Unlike the other books, this one doesn’t have a complicated timeline jumping back and forth, so it might be a great starting point for the saga and a way to better understand the lore.

The story drops you straight into Min’s world of dying Earth and desperate hope, introducing Vist and the mystery of the loader in a way that makes you want the full series. It’s short but layered with tension and emotion, a solid prequel that sets the stage for bigger things.

I really enjoyed this prequel! Act & Vist is short but powerful, and it pulls you into a bleak future where humanity is running out of options. The world-building feels vivid, and even though the story is only about an hour long, the characters already feel real and relatable.

The narration is excellent and Hilary White’s performance adds emotion and tension, making the story easy to follow and hard to pause.

What I liked most is how the story balances action with deeper questions about survival, love, and sacrifice. It ends in a way that sets up the larger Who Is Vist series perfectly, as I now wants to find out more!

If you enjoy thought-provoking sci-fi with strong characters and moral stakes, this is a great listen. I’m excited to dive into the rest of the series!
