About this listen

An examination of adults who have been manipulated by divorcing parents.

Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) occurs when divorcing parents use children as pawns, trying to turn the child against the other parent. This book examines the impact of PAS on adults and offers strategies and hope for dealing with the long-term effects.

I found this book very insightful and useful. As a targets parent, this book has helped me better understand what my children must be going through. Hearing what adult children of parental alienation felt about the targeted parent and their behaviour has helped me identify what I can do to try to minimise the harm in the future. Parental Alienation is such an awful thing - it has lifelong and catastrophic consequences for the children, and it can be fatal to the targeted parent. This book at least gives insight and there are practical lessons you can take from it as a targeted parent, which is a small positive - and any positive is good in this. I would imagine it is useful for adults children of parental alienation as well, but I don't have that experience (although several friends have privately told me about their experiences in this regard since becoming aware of my family situation). Highly recommended.
