About this listen

Following his abduction from a remote campsite, Daniel Wells escapes his captor and flees into the night. At six years old, he is suddenly cast into a world where nothing is familiar and everything in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, from mountain lions and bears to hungry packs of wolves, views him as easy prey.

Just as he begins to think that all hope is lost, to his amazement, an unlikely ally emerges from the frigid darkness, offering him refuge, friendship, and so much more.

Aenokai pulled me in from the very first minute. The tale of 6 year old Daniel’s fight for survival after escaping abduction is brilliant. The wilderness is superbly described and absolutely terrifying at times. Sean Cordry’s narration is excellent, he brings real emotion to every line, especially Daniel’s fear, courage, and moments of wonder. Highly recommend for anyone who loves edge-of-your-seat listening.

great story and listen, and narration suited well. just felt the story was a bit rushed, and although I dislike "padding" in a story, I feel this could be expanded more.

lovely story
