About this listen

When Charles Henstock, rector of Thrush Green, moves a mile downhill to the parish of Lulling, his many friends rejoice in his promotion. But an unfortunate skirmish with one of his wealthy parishioners over the Lady Chapel kneelers saddens him.

I totally love Miss Reads books, they are so thoughtful and comforting. However, also entertaining and have some hard topics in them but discussed very sensitively and lightly.

I will be so sad when I’ve read them all, but I guess I can just listen to them again! I never knew this type of book was missing from my life, but now it’s all I want to read.

They are so heartwarming…
I did have a little titter at the first few mentions of ‘Lady Chapel’, of which they were many, but I got over it. Sorry Miss Read…

Another beautiful tale so well told
