‘Compelling, heartbreaking and beautifully written. This superb thriller will stay in my mind for a very long time’ B P Walter, Sunday Times-bestselling author of The Dinner Guest on The Girl Upstairs

He should have chosen me.
I never should have chosen him.

Lizzie has been in love with her colleague Dean for three years but he’s never given her a second glance.

When a job offer in London promises to launch her art career she finally feels ready to upend her life in pursuit of her dream … until the night of the office Christmas party when Dean confesses his love for someone else – Rebecca, one of Lizzie’s closest friends.

A few days later, the police show up on her doorstep.

Rebecca is missing.

After the Party is another mesmerising thriller seething with secrets and lies from the bestselling author of The Girl Upstairs.

Marrying selfish Dean. Idiot. Stranded in a village which was much too claustrophobic. All very disappointing.

Much too convoluted. Over thinking by Lizzie. Weird ending and hysterical Mum spoilt it for me. What was she thinking.

it took a long time to get going then it got quite good but the ending completely ruined it for me. I thought she'd end up with Graham not dean it doesnt make sense to me because that would have been a fresh start and he liked her for her whereas Dean chose her 3rd which isn't romantic at all.. I thought she'd end with graham and go to London for the new job. I just dont understand why she would end up with him when he not only didnt choose her but he also ended up cheating on his gf with her best friend - the whole thing makes no sense and id have given it 4 stars if it hadn't ended like that. What makes the point of the whole story then? n she has to keep a secret from dean for the rest of their lives too.
