Summary
What happens in the wake of Failure Mode?
The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem.
Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

I will attempt to not give any spoilers, so I will keep it broad. The character development is brilliant, the story had the standard Craig Odell blend of deeply thought out science fiction brilliance leveraging his experience in Aerospace and defence contracts , compelling an likable characters who seem so well rounded I would love to know who he based them on and even a funny printer easter egg which I assume is a poke at his time working for HP, you are right, they never work correctly.
The pacing of the story is brilliant, but you will wonder why things happen when they do up until you listen to the ending, I would elaborate but no spoilers!
R.C. Bray is, as ever, on fine form and brings the story to life in a way I don’t think any outer voice actor could to be honest.
I would give it a 10/10.
All in all, as with the entire series, TTA and listen to them all.
Epic like the rest

Continuing Awesomeness

Good story flow and generally very good pace BUT a little boring on occasion when nearly a whole chapter is a discussion between two characters.
Really loved the general story a fair amount if action, interesting twists in the plot and what a cliff hanger at the end!
One complaint is that we have to wait to see what happens...Really enjoying the series, so much fun and Mr Bray is superb.
So much better than the last book!
