About this listen

Formerly published as an Entangled Brazen Romance

Never challenge a cowboy in the courtroom...

Surveying the proposed site for a high-end golf course should have been a breeze for spunky landscape architect Sophie Smith. But when this born-and-bred city girl is suddenly—and quite literally—swept off her feet by a sexy cowboy on horseback, she realizes that the country life has some serious (and seriously steamy) possibilities. That is, until she finds out exactly who her smokin' hot wrangler really is.

Cowboy and tribal lawyer Jake Lodge is desperately trying to block the development. And if that means playing hardball—and being every inch the shark lawyer—so be it. But Sophie is a distraction he didn't expect. A distraction that makes his blood burn.

Two different worlds. Two opposing sides. And when they finally give in to the exquisite temptation, the consequences will shake the foundation of both of their lives...

As usual, this author’s books flow easily and nicely. I loved the main male character’s personality and strength. The female character was a bit more lost but I loved the boldness of her actions.

The plot could have been developed deeper around certain aspect but it still works. Half way through the story I still wasn’t sure why the local tribe was opposing the new development.

Nice read

I love a good small town romance. Add in a real life cowboy who’s also a top class tribal lawyer and I’m in my element. Jake Lodge is also a perfect gentleman (except in the bedroom, and the courtroom), and he’s got his sights set on Sophie Smith, and what Jake wants, Jake gets. Although Sophie thought that Jake could possibly be the one, he’s hasn’t been totally up front with her and trust became an issue for her. The characters are great, the story is entertaining and the audio, whereby both Jake and Sophie were narrated by Stella Bloom (who is great I might add), all in the third person, which is not my preferred point of view, but it did work with the story. A fun read.
