Summary

Yep the book might be a short, but it didn't feel like it was. I'd rather that than a load of meaningless padding that bores me.

The book is a serious view of a hidden agency that with secret dark technology keeps it's edge and the ordinary public unaware of it's task. Thankfully C. T. Phipps humour is also present and keeps it from getting too dark. I've read a number of other of his books and this one makes a great change to the supervillainy series. In this serious tech is your power as opposed to supernatural powers

As G your protagonist discovers himself and his memories, you discover that his employers might have their fingers in a few more pies than you'd first think.

I was truly not accepting such a good written book.
C. T. Phipps have actually done a remarkable job with this book, and Jeffrey Kafer narrated it perfectly, I’m really awestruck on what was accomplished here !
Great story, easy to understand and enjoyable, everything we would love to have in all books.

Not much to say only that I fully recommend this one to all.

Wow, Charles knocks it out of the park again with this assassin book. Action and mystery throughout sprinkled with his tell-tale dose of wit and sarcasm throughout!
Can’t fault the story and I’ve just downloaded book 2!
As for the narration, Jeffrey is amazing too. His characters are easily distinguished with great voices and he’s a perfect pairing for Charles’ books being able to pull off the dark, seriousness of the situations as well as switching to the snide (enough to make you smile!), sarky remarks.
Really love this combo!

Jeffrey Kafer is G, a Letter, one of 26 literally nameless assassins working for the International Refugee Society (the IRS: yes, a deliberate choice of acronym). All have had their memories wiped, signed up for a ten year period, and are killers for hire without remorse to hinder their performance. Except that, with another five years of his contract still to go, G wants to know who he was before he was a Letter. And he wants to know now: it's interfering with his concentration.

More than a simple spy/assassin story, this action filled cyber short is packed with action, humour,contemplation of individual right and wrong, cyber enhancements and a kind of romance. There's also betrayal and conspiracy, as well as - well, you really need to read the book for yurself. Jeffrey Kafer gives a superb performance, a slick, fast talking sardonic reading perfectly in tune with the written word. It might not be great literature, but it's a fun, if violent, story, well written and narrated and definitely recommended
