Summary

A #1 SPORTS ROMANCE AND TOP 25 BESTSELLER!

He’s got all the right moves. And makes…all the wrong plays.

Will Aster excels at two things: soccer and self-sabotage. Following a viral incident involving him and the club owner’s wife, his only option to continue playing is overseas on FC Kluvberg—a team known for not tolerating scandal. A last chance and a harsh wake-up call.

Sophia Beck has spent her life avoiding football. Growing up in the shadow of her family’s stratospheric success in the sport left scars. About to begin her final year of university, she’s eager to pursue a career in photography, not receive an internship assignment involving her brother’s team. The last thing she expects is to meet a guy—a player—who makes her want to watch a game.

He loves soccer.

She resents it.

Those contrary viewpoints collide when Will and Sophia discover something stronger than their conflicting emotions toward the sport—their feelings for each other.

But…one wrong play can cost the game.

And wrong plays are Will’s specialty.

I really enjoyed this sports romance! I blew through it!

Will and Sophia were so great together! I loved how they developed a friendship even though they are insanely attracted to each other! Both have hurdles of the past and present to overcome, mostly Will, but both of their journeys were great and I loved that they helped each other get there.

There were some loose threads, but nothing major and no third act break up! So if you love an easy to read forbidden, secret romance, sports romance then I’d definitely recommend! While you could read it as a standalone I guess, it just wouldn’t hit the same!

The narrators were also did a wonderful job!

This is the second book in the Kluvberg Series, a Sports Romance. Will and Sophia's story is beautifully written, cute, sweet, and heartwarming. Kasha Kensington and Ryan Hudson did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. This is a lovely friends to lovers romance. I enjoyed it.

C.W. Farnsworth always writes fast-paced, engaging, interesting romances and All the Wrong Plays is no different! Will and Sofia were well-written, developed, relatable and likable characters. I loved that Will and Sofia's relationship was written in an authentic nature from as it developed from friends to lovers. I really liked this story and it had the potential to be a 5 star read.

Kasha Kensington & Ryan Hudson are new to me narrators and I enjoyed their work. They were perfectly suited to the characters they voiced.

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧

4 ”for the love of the game” STARS! That’s my saying about soccer. I played soccer for most of my childhood and into adulthood, but I stopped playing in any capacity other than “for the love of the game” after graduating high school.

I really enjoyed this story, but it lacked depth. It’s great how it is, hence my 4-star rating, but it had the potential for so much more that it actually hurt my brain when the author didn’t take advantage of the circumstances, she laid out to deepen not just the characters, but the storyline itself.

I’m not giving a play-by-play of what I think should or should not have been part of the story because it isn’t my story to tell. I think this author is very talented and what she chose to put on the page was actually pretty great. She grew both Sophia and Will’s characters as individuals and as a couple nicely. The storyline progressed pretty nicely until it didn’t. LOL I’m not sure why the author chose the ending to be so abrupt, but it really threw me off. In hindsight, I’m thinking maybe the building of their relationship and growth as individuals was the main objective of the story and once that happened, the rest is just implied. Maybe? I honestly don’t know, but I thought the story ended with Sophia winning the contest and what came next was the epilogue. I had to rewind my audiobook to make sure I hadn’t missed the word “epilogue” when the last chapter began. It was a little nuts, but I was just so satisfied with the story at that point that it was barely a blip. *shrug*

🎧NARRATION⇒ Kasha Kensington & Ryan Hudson
I’ve struggled a little bit on how to phrase my audio experience because neither narrator is a favorite of mine but they fit their parts perfectly. Ryan was a perfect voice for Will and Kasha, the same for Sophia. I can’t really explain it, but they really embraced these two characters and matched my perception of them with their narration. I just didn’t expect what they brought to the story and quite frankly I feel a little bit bad that I assumed 10 hours might be too much. I guess I’m just trying to say that you just never know … feel me? lol
