About this listen

Lecturers having it away with students, witches’ sabbaths on the sand dunes, a body buried under a statue in the gardens, and a fresh rash of killings. All is not well at Holm Coultram College.

All is not well at Holm Coultram College: lecturers having affairs with students, witches’ sabbaths, a body buried under a statue.

Having read reviews of other narrators reading Reginald Hill novels, I was delighted to see that Warren Clarke narrates some of them.
My delight continued as I started to listen to his voice, sometimes Dalziel, sometimes himself, with a variety of accents for other characters. Clarke does a great Scottish accent!
The quality of the writing is brought to life by Hill, making 'An Advancement of Learning' much more than simply a clever 'whodunnit'.
I shall be buying any Hill audiobook read by Clarke.

Wonderful narrator of a beautifully written novel
