nice book, a fun read, love the narrator. has a lot of weird potholes and the romance is very rushed and odd but I guess that's what you get with a standalone.

nice performance and entertaining book

This was such an interesting take on the fae, completely unlike any I've read before. The world Rogerson created was richly detailed and fascinating, and Isobel was a brilliant, courageous protagonist. I loved all the little details and being able to visualise the world and characters. This is perfect if you love YA fantasy and folklore with a little romance and some interesting twists!

Lush and descriptive with incredible world building

I didn’t realise how much I would feel meh about the forbidden love trope, but was a lovely comforting background book for me! Dunno if I’ll read again but don’t regret listening!

Predictable but comfy

I had a good time listening to this. I loved how Rook and Isobel's relationship progressed throughout the story. For me, the best highlight is the adventure they were on. Isobel's character is well written as well. I do feel that some plot points were unfinished, so I would love a sequel that addresses them. However, this didn't dull my enjoyment in any way, and we have a happy conclusion. The narration is top-notch!

Enjoyable listen
