This short tale is one of the best possible examples of the "American School" of short stories which goes back to Poe and Melville and continues with Faulkner, Wolfe and Salinger. The narrator has a pleasant voice and narrates the story with good pace and intonation. It is a pleasure to listen to him. However, as some other have said, this is not the unabridged story as of the three original sections the second has been completely suppressed. What's the point of doing that in such a short tale? To spare the listener a couple of minutes? I don't think so. It's probably worse than that, the perpetrator might have thought that he will surely improve on the original version by doing that. Completely outrageous.

Superb short story and narrator but it IS abridged
