The second book in the Supernaturals of Castle Academy trilogy and the action picks up where Legacy of Shadows left off with the kidnapped Leighton near death, tortured by a psychotic vampire with illusions above his station waiting on her men to rescue her. Anchor of Secrets was everything I’ve come to expect from Tessa Hale, fantastic action filled storytelling and great character development as the bonds between Leighton and her five mates deepen despite the attempts from various factions to split them up. I felt there was more steamy moments than in previous books with several scenes involving more than one partner but if this story continues to play out the way I think it's going to, then this RH element is going to be pivotal to Leighton's development.

With another fantastic performance from Vanessa Moyens who, despite having to give voices to multiple characters, her narration here made it easy to differentiate between each one.

Anchor of Secrets is the second book in the Supernaturals of Castle Academy series and must be read after the first book.

Be prepared to laugh, cry and sit on the edge of your seat wondering what will come next. This is an exceptional book that is eloquently written from Tessa Hale and definitely one of my favourites this year.

I didn’t enjoy the previous book, Legacy of Shadows, as much as I thought I would, regardless I was still very excited for Anchor of Secrets and it did not disappoint! I only received the audiobook this morning and have already devoured it.

I fell desperately head over heels for all the guys in this book. They were all utterly swoon worthy in this book, I was actually surprised by how much I loved them considering I struggled with them in the first book.
And Leighton? Those first chapters had me in tears for her. I loved her inner strength and fierceness that came out when her mates were threatened. She is truly a character that you can empathise with and relate to.

We learn most of the secrets that were left unanswered in the last book, but we do now have more questions to replace them …

That ending! Just as suspenseful as the last and leaves you craving more …

From the first chapter I was hooked on the story that Hale wove. The chemistry between Leighton and her men was intense and the sparks certainly flew between them. This book was everything that I was hoping it would be. Another great story from Tessa Hale and one that ticked all the boxes for me.
