I absolutely tore through this book. The reading was so unfussy and it conveyed the power and depth of the writing. The voices felt authentic, full of humanity. I was totally absorbed into this world and its sense of threat never left me.
This book made a brilliant companion piece to Henry Green’s Living which I have just finished. Highly highly recommended.
Also… I love the front cover and I think you should always judge a book by its cover.
