I thoroughly enjoyed this book, along with Amanda’s narration. The story didn’t give any real explanation for Romoney’s addiction, which is a shame because that should have been a main focus of the story. However it dealt well with the effects it had on her life and that of her family. A bit long winded towards the end but otherwise I would recommend this book

What a fabulous book. Sensitively but powerfully explored one woman's fight with alcohol, from both her and her daughters point of view. Heartbreaking at times but couldn't put down. Read fabulously by the author herself. It's my first time reading a book by this author, looking forward to hearing more

I listened to the audible version of this book. The times that I felt frustrated then sad for Romilly verged on me almost not finishing listening half way through. But addiction of those we love is hard to live with and watch. Glad I finished it , it really was quite a journey for them all.

The audiobook is really heartbreaking to listen to in parts. I wanted to dive in and shake Romily at times and beg her to try harder. Just shows the power of alcohol to listen to the choices she made. Wonderful book and so well narrated.
