Toby spellbound hound is back. A friend of Clarissa's move to town to open a bakery. Toby is looking forward to cakes and dogy treats. But when the mayor is poisoned Dee becomes a suspect.
This is a funny listen as the doggy detective is on the case with Sal .
I love how Toby see's life and the struggle he faces. This is a wonderful story with great characters and plenty of humor.

I enjoyed this book. I love the way the author uses everything we take for granted and makes us see it through a dogs eyes, like revolving shop doors or driving cars. Okay admittedly you don't wait them doing the later but it makes for good reading and is highly entertaining. This is such a fun series and with talking animals and magic anything can happen and usually does. The characters are a delight and the laughs are thick and fast. In this book Clarissa and the spell bound hound Toby (along with his sidekick Sal the rat) are working together to solve who is targeting the bakeries and killing people. The story takes you more on an adventure, than providing clues for you to work it out yourself. although how ever you want to describe it, it's a lot of fun and I can't wait for the next outing.

When an old friend of Clarissa's moves back to town and opens up a bakery, Clarissa, Toby and Sal are first in line on opening day. However opening day doesn't go as well as expected and the mayor causes trouble, which is why Clarissa's friend becomes a suspect when the mayor is found dead the next morning. Clarissa, Toby and Sal set out to clear her name......well Sal is more along for the ride in order to try as many treats as possible. However the case gets more complicated when another person with a connection to a bakery dies. Is somebody targeting bakeries? It's a big job but somebody has to
stop them or at least make sure the rest of the food is safe and Toby and Sal are up for the job.
I liked the narrator. He makes a fun story even more entertaining by providing unique voices for the quirky characters.
