Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Vivid descriptions of far away places, a true sense of travel and its highs, and lows, and some gentle but telling insights into the human condition. Recommended.

Loved this book. The descriptions of the sight, sounds and smells along the journey transported me there. An amazing journey that bought to life each of the 80 train journeys giving great insights into the countries and their people. Would definitely recommend it.
