About this listen

A mystical amulet from a century-old witch and a life bound to magic. But the hidden world divided by light and darkness is never without sacrifice.

In the coastal town of Atlas Cliffs, Maddie Harlow lives a quiet life with her husband and son, keeping her supernatural abilities a closely guarded secret until she must bury more than her magic…

For over twenty years, she evades her tragic, dark past. But when events bring her granddaughter, Drew, to live with her, the girl’s shocking ability to see beyond the veil forces Maddie to confront the ghostly world she left behind.

Eternally sixteen and trapped between life and death, Enid Morana is a restless spirit, unable to find peace until she avenges her murder. When she finally discovers someone who can see her, the girl’s grandmother stands in her way.
Maddie will stop at nothing to shield Drew from the dangers lurking on the other side, but will Enid’s unwavering quest for justice end in turmoil?

Aurora’s Amulet is the gripping prequel to the supernatural Atlas Cliffs series. If you crave stories with magic and glimmers of hope among profound tragedy and loss, you’ll love the emotional beginning in Drew Harlow’s paranormal journey.

Having no prior experience with Angela van Liempt's books or this series itself, I was really looking forward to heading into this new series. And let me tell you, she did not disappoint! I was not ready for the heartbreak and am so grateful that it was packed within this beautiful writing. I loved following our main characters from their different POVs and am really impressed with the way Angela portrayed their motivations. Cause while no one is perfect, being allowed to follow their inner monologues so well, will really make you empathise (and then make the grief hit even harder^^).

A big part of why I enjoyed this book so much was also definitely the narration by Pagan McGrath! I like listening to audiobooks while working out, but with this one . . . Girl!! You cannot make me cry in the gym! But no really, she did such a good job switching between the characters and showing individual emotions, I will 100% checking out what else she has on Audible :)

Great audiobook! Definitely recommend!

I downloaded Auroras Amulet as something light and easy to listen to after finishing Throne of Glass. Light and easy it was not. My emotions were pulled every which way with gorgeously descriptive writing. I downloaded also to listen to Pagan McGrath and she delivered!! I will have to listen again as I am sure I missed one or two parts as is was jam packed!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Lots to unpack in this short story. Lots of questions unanswered which leaves you wanting to find out what happens in the next tale. The performance from Pagan McGrath was great. Even as a solo narrator you can hear the different characters so clearly. Great opening, onward for answers!!
