She can already see the dead...but is she starting to see the future?

Spurred by the injustices that nearly destroyed their family, Jess and Hannah Ballard are preparing to win back a seat on the powerful Durupinen Council. The odds are stacked against them, but that's never stopped them before. But as Hannah faces the harsh realities of political intrigue, Jess must face a frightening new reality of her own.

Jess made a promise months before, a promise to help the trapped and tortured Walker, Irina. With Irina's trial looming, Jess has her chance to make good on her word, but the spirit world may have other plans. Jess' gift as a Muse is shifting. Her talent as an artist is now offering her terrifying glimpses into a future she may be powerless to change. Unspeakable tragedy looms ever closer. Will Jess be forced to stand helplessly by, or will she interpret the signs before it's too late?

Scots accent sounded as tho the character had a severe speech impediment. the Irish wasnt much better. But the Cockney? oh heavens! I would just like to point out to the rest of the world, no Brit sounds remotely like any of the characterizations performed here. spoilt a bit of half decent escapism.

accents. if you cant do and accent please dont try

Ok so here goes
The whole series is brilliant BUT the narrator’s attempts at accents really isn’t even acceptable. As a storyteller she is great but please if you can’t do accents it’s simple DON’T
From the worst Mary Poppins (original) style English accents to a butchered version of something trying to resemble Scottish that went via Ireland and Asia!
IF you can get past this the story is great and the general narration lively.

Brilliant story .. terrible accents

The stories themselves are very enjoyable, the characters accents are dreadful. The cockney accent sounds like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins and the Scottish accent beggars belief. Please don't bother and just read the story, I'm sure others will agree

Brilliant but flawed

The story is great, and moving. The narration is so good that in reading the next book in the series, ( which, at time of writing, lacks an audio version), I hear her voice while I’m reading.

Heartfelt and thought through.

Love the books & hope that the others are available soon as I could not find them when I finish this book
