Summary
On the 9th of March 2026, John Cullen died at the age of 75 in St. James's Hospital, where he had been treated for cancer for the last year. A notorious pimps in the 1970's and 80s, he was jailed in 1983 for the murder of former sex worker, Dolores Lynch, her mother, Kathleen, and Aunt Hannah.
Cullen controlled prostitution in Dublin for almost a decade. His cruelty, depravity, and violence were notorious. There were few, apart from his close family, who mourned his death. Jenny Friel talks to Crime World's Caoimhe Young about the life and death of John Cullen and the women who finally put him behind bars.
