The Rays pick up a much needed win, beating the Nationals 5-2. The Rays started this game in a 2-0 hole after solo homers by the Nats in the 2nd and 3rd inning. The Rays took the lead right back in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Jonathan Aranda snuck in a 3 run homer the opposite way to give the Rays a 3-2 lead. The Rays would add on in the 4th on a Taylor Walls RBI single to make it 4-2. The lead stayed at 4-2 until the bottom of the 8th inning. In that inning Jonny DeLuca destroyed a solo homer to make it 5-2. The Rays bullpen shut it down from there for the big win. Griffin Jax started for the Rays and was solid once again. He went 5 IP giving up the 2 runs and striking out 5. The Rays bullpen came up clutch in the last 4 innings to secure the win. The Rays will look to win the series tomorrow afternoon.
