On the cocktail side of things, today Ben is drinking a Sweet Misery while Matthew is drinking a How to Kill a Friend. Recipes below.
Sweet Misery- 2 oz White Rum
- 4-6 Trader Joe’s Italian Blood Orange Soda (Or make your own with blood oranges, simple syrup and club soda)
- Add rum to an empty highball glass, fill the glass with ice and top with the soda
How to Kill a Friend
- 1 1/2 oz Mezcal
- 3/4 oz Campari
- 1/2 oz Sweet Sherry (Pedro Ximenez)
- 1/4 oz Cointreau
- 1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice
- 4 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice - preferably crushed or pebble. Garnish with a mint sprig.
