When you can't hit, can't pitch and can't field, it's going to be pretty tough to win games in Major League Baseball. So it should be no surprise to anyone that the Yankees, who do any of those three fundamental pillars of the sport, have lost nine of 10 games and 12 of their last 15.

The Twins came into the Bronx and won the final two games to take the series, and the Yankees were about as lifeless in those two games as you could possibly imagine. Things have gone completely in the tank and if the Yankees don't find a way to reverse course, they're going to be buried behind the first-place Rays, who they meet starting Monday for a critical four-game series in Tampa.
