Summary

Colin Spencer is a tattoo artist with a past he'd prefer to keep a secret. Actually, he has a few secrets that he'd rather people didn't know about, which is why Colin doesn't do commitment. But when a shy sailor approaches him at the gym, Colin finds this guy pushing all his buttons.

Growing up in a conservative family, then escaping with the Navy, Daniel Moore is an unsure virgin who feels like he can't share his true self with anyone. Seeing Colin - and his tattoos - at the gym are the sign Daniel needs to finally get those tattoos he's always wanted, and maybe try his hand at flirting.

As Colin and Daniel spend more time together, their awkward hesitations turn into a deep passion neither expected. But with both men harboring secrets, will their relationship be able to survive their insecurities and become something beautiful?

Contains mature themes.

L.A. Witt's skilful writing and Michael Ferraiuolo's superb narration creates this adorable and endearing couple. As soon as I finished the story, I started all over again.

Daniel and Colin are adorable together.

A pleasant, slow but well told story, with generally kind characters, and funny moments, capably narrated.

Gentle humour

Okay, I’m pretty bad with words so bear with me, this book was such an experience, I was yelling I was crying, ranting, screaming. So much enjoy came from reading this book, Colin and Daniel’s cute little moments, the fact that Daniel wasn’t even the slightest bit judgmental of Colin’s past; and Colin in return wasn’t the slightest bit put off by Daniel being a 26 year-old virgin. They were just so sweet.

Also I think this book has the best representation of an Eating disorder, the mental aspects are captured so well so props to that. Daniel’s parents pissed me the hell off, but that was guaranteed; the homophobia they had was also captured and told in such a realistic way I was burning with anger when ever they’re ‘judgemental stares’ were described.

All in all, this book was phenomenal, They’re were a couple things I would’ve liked to have known, but i understand that those things full more on a sub plot basis and Colin and Daniel’s relationship was the whole plot. One other thing! I would’ve liked an Epilogue of Daniel’s full finished back piece! because his design sounded so cool, also I was slightly betting for Daniel to rip his shirt off and show he did indeed have tattoos to his parents, but I understand why he didn’t.

I love these boys!!

Daniel and Colin’s banter and togetherness just made this book so amazing for me!
