Talia is nine years old, from a broken home after her father left and jealous of her one year old sister Alex who steals most of their mum's attention and also annoys Talia. Talia also blames Alex for their father's departure since it happened so soon after Alex's birth.

It's normal for an older sibling to feel jealous and slightly neglected right? However, Talia's envy is about to go beyond your average when she finds a book in her room that she's sure she didn't have before. A book which somehow talks to her, gives her ideas and has powers. When Talia finds and connects to this book, her life and the lives of those closest to her are about to change drastically.

I thought this was a very original idea with twists that I wasn't expecting. Full of suspense, Talia turns out to be a very sinister character. There are also more stories in the series that I look forward to hearing some time. I would definitely recommend this. I was given a promo code to listen and review.
