I had read these books last year and loved them so when I saw that an audiobook had been released I IMMEDIATELY bought it! And it was worth every penny! If you love bully/enemies to lovers/dark romance then this is for you.. such a great story and of course narration was top class. 5 stars! Can’t wait for the next one!

I loved this audiobook, I’ve previously read all of the Hellions of Hade Harbor books and was so happy when I saw bad intentions has been released in audio.

Brutal intentions is the first book in the Hellions of Hade Harbor series, set in Mila’s universe in the fictional town of Hade Harbor, Maine. Here hockey is more than just a sport it’s a way of life. The ice gods are the stars of the high school team and Cayden West is the newest member.

Lily West is the smart, nerdy girl he bumps into on his first day and he’s instantly intrigued by her. As the hockey coach’s daughter she is off limits, but Cade doesn’t care for rules and what Cayden wants Cayden gets. The 2 couldn’t be more different - the straight A nerdy girl and hockeys latest ice god from the wrong side of the tracks. When Cayden leaves his foster father and coach Williams takes him in, he’s now her foster brother. Cayden doesn’t trust easily, Lily doesn’t have time for boys she as dreams of leaving town for college to escape the pressure of living up to her parents expectations. They both have secrets and are intent on finding them out. When Cayden’s past is revealed he blames Lily, but there’s someone else out there determined to drag him back to the life he so desperately wants to escape. After blaming Lily can he work it out and save her before she gets hurt even more?

I loved this book, it’s full of tense, angsty drama, secrets, lies and betrayal but also chemistry, loyalty, protective, obsessive infatuation and friendship. Cayden is intense, obsessive and protective but after a difficult childhood and an abusive foster father he doesn’t trust easily, is quick to anger and doesn’t let people get close to him easily. Lily is the first person who’s been able to break through his walls. When he believes that she’s betrayed his trust he gets revenge and then cuts her off. Lily is tenacious, determined and resilient.

The narrators, Corvin King and Celia Stone, do a brilliant job of bringing the story to life. They work well together, the inflection and modulation of their delivery draws you in and portrays the chemistry, emotions and feelings of the characters perfectly. I was sucked into the story and couldn’t stop listening!

I loved the cameo appearances from Sophie (Sophia) and Nikolai from the Malevolent King & Runaway Queen duet, love that all of Mila’s books are linked. Even though they’re linked you don’t need to read any of the others before this one, there’s no really spoilers!
