About this listen

The twentieth century is drawing to a close and the Russians are up to all sorts of dirty tricks in Lithuania and Kaliningrad. MI6 decide to fight fire with fire and send in a crack SAS team led by Dan 'Spider' Shepherd. Their mission - to create chaos in the Baltic region through sabotage, assassination and black ops. But the Russians aren't going to give up without a fight, and soon the SAS team wonder if they might have bitten off more than they can chew.

Yet another brilliant and intense story, expertly narrated.
I love these peaks into Spider's former life, and seeing how they inform his current persona. I also love the sheer amount of information that's woven into the storyline. If I'd been asked to read these books at school instead of attending the dreary history lessons we were given, I'd have learned so much more!
Thanks Stephen!

Up there with the best of the Spider novels. Probably one of the best in the SAS series.

Top notch yet again

I like the way Paul thornley has been used on this whole series it makes the story line more believable and the characters voice’s he uses a lot better than other storytelling

Great story line

Every book I have read (listened to) of Stephen Leathers I loved (not read any short stories) I have loved. Spider Shepherd is awesome. But I was kinda disappointed, there was no Major Gannon or Liam or back story of spider in the uk, flying here there and everywhere. It was like he had a bit part in this book to a certain degree.

That certainly won’t stop me buying any more books by Mr Leather

Narration is once again top notch.

Baltic black Ops left me kinda let down

Love the narrator in these Spider stories. Kept you listening to the last moment. Great performance all round

Gripping to the end
