I've absolutely love this series so far and this book doesn't disappoint. My heart literally broke for Afton in the beginning because Mason is such a heartless arse, then I got angry on her behalf and finally I was cheering her on for being a total badass. Thankfully, Mason ends up totally melting like the cheese in a toasted sandwich and they live happily ever after.

Xander's back and not only does he treat us once more to all the MacTavish men, but he narrates Mason beautifully. Cold and detached though he may be, you can hear the affection he has to Afton which is captured throughout in perfect fashion. We really are gifted with all aspects of this infuriatingly imperfect mafia man.

Now as for Emma, she more than captures Afton's personality and hearing her banter with Mason just made me fall in love with this story all over again. But if that's not enough to entice there's also the customary murder, bullets and mayhem that seems walk hand in hand with this family and it's all right here for the ears to soak up. Definitely one of the better ways to experience this story if you haven't already had the pleasure.

Masons brothers had married for love, but he karroes for the family to Afton whose father has alteria motives for the arrangement. He thinks it will be a simple transaction but Afton brings new feelings to him he can't ignore, but is betrayal on the horizon? Well written the story draws you in from the start your heart melts for these two! Engaging steamy arranged marriage, romance a great addition to the series

The arranged business marriage needed a MacTavish groom. So Mason volunteered. His bride was not so lucky. Afton does as she is told. When it seems there could be a happy future to this marriage it all goes south very quicky. But Mason has a way with his rescues, wanted or not. Very good listen.

Reviewing for the audiobook listened at 1.3x

Oh, I have been having quite the blast working through the MacTavish Heirs series. Everyone is just so lovingly unhinged with their partners, and I could ask for anything better. The marriage that Afton and Mason are forced into works out perfectly for them as they seem to make a great couple. Even though Mason is seen as the emotionally constipated one, he's still able to build a sweet relationship with Afton.

And can't forget about the narrators that always do such a great job for this series and make it a fun ride to go through.

Looking forward to working more way through this series.
