Beautiful Nightmare gave me such unexpected Monsters Inc. vibes, and I wasn’t sure how to feel about it, but I did laugh out loud more than once. There’s a touch of spice, but mostly it’s short, cheeky, and spooky‑sweet. As a single‑narrated book, Andi Elloise did a great job bringing the humour and warmth to life. A fun little Halloween treat.

I really enjoyed this story, it was fast paced, interesting and very entertaining. The narrator was very good too, I have bought the series and will read them all soon. I recommend them, if you’re looking for a short story before bed, these are excellent to have in your TBR section of your library.

I had a blast reading Beautiful Nightmare! It felt like a spicy, adult twist on Monsters, Inc. — exactly my kind of fun. Gemma’s demon-in-training energy and Caleb’s openness had me rooting for them from the start. Their connection grew in those moments when things go bump in the night and I loved how the supernatural tension balanced with sweet sincerity. This novella was just long enough to deliver heat and heart without overstaying its welcome.

The supernatural setup is clever, the characters are quirky and memorable and the pacing kept things moving. I especially appreciated that while the paranormal element drives the plot, the emotional stakes matter just as much. This is the kind of romance where you’re invested in their world and their hearts. A fun, darkish, spicy read I’m glad I picked up.
