This book touched my heart in ways no other book has. I love Dawn’s books and I’m a huge fan of her in general, but this book is beyond brilliant and I think it’s her best yet. I laughed and cried in equal measure - all of the characters are expertly conceptualised and you feel bonded to them like they’re your own family. I thoroughly recommend the book and I hope Dawn continues to write more on this subject in future.

I’ve never written a review before, but still with tears streaming down my face I felt compelled too. Without giving anything away this book has had me on an emotional rollercoaster from the very beginning. The up and downs had me in tears of happiness and sadness…it made me smile a lot…it was so full of deep, profound, heart wrenching love and I can’t recommended it enough. Dawn french read it with passion and from the heart and I can’t imagine it with anyone else’s voices, she meant every word she said.
