I’ve listened to this author’s Stone County series and they are nicely written, and well narrated so I know it’s not the writer that’s at fault here. This book was delivered in a bland tone, it became monotonous and I struggled to finish an otherwise engaging story. I won’t be listening to the remaining books in this series sadly.
