From starting with the proper tools to selecting which plants grow well together (a particularly fun idea is creating a "pizza garden" with all the ingredients needed for a delicious pizza) to recipes that will engage your kids in the kitchen as well, this book has it all from start to finish, from farm to table. The chapter on succession planting was especially valuable, since it details how you can rotate crops (and plant certain pairs of veggies next to/amongst each other, saving space) and keep the bounty continuously flowing with no downtime on patches of soil. If you want to instill a passion for horticulture in yourself and your kids, and sow the seeds for a lifelong hobby and skill, then pick this book up immediately!
