My first ever full length book in audio and wow! what a belter. yes it took me a while to get used to not holding a book,turning the pages and having someone else tell the story but I soon found myself completely immersed in the story. the dual timeline, then and now was brilliantly done following Simon/ Alex the MC. The devastation of his upbringing, the decisions made, the impact all brilliantly brought together for one outstanding gripping,tense read. If you are new to audio I found walking whilst listening and then sitting with my eyes closed helped me focus as I guess holding a book anchors me when reading. This story was so brilliantly narrated it didn't take me long to get lost in the story and keep listening. The revelations and ending were pure first class! highly recommend.
