Rob really excels in this book, giving you a view into what life has been like for him after 50+ years in heavy metal. It was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish and does read very much like a heavy metal bible but without any boring bits! Love his anecdotes and humour. A must read for any Priest or/and metal fan. Or give it a listen via the audiobook and let his warm Walsall accent take you in a metal journey

Honest and Entertaining

Just a load of yam yammering. Cool listen, you hear Rob waining on some parts as his eyes are out of focus and he’s craving for a cup of Yorkshire tea. All in all through a good listen, shame about some of the political stances that will divide the listening, he should have taken a neutral stance but hey ho

A good listen but not as good as Confessions

Great book all around, but especially if you’re in a band. If you’re musically inclined you’ll probably get more from this book than others. You’ll be able to relate and learn from the tales of band managers, producers and tours.
The book is well written and brilliant narrated by Rob Halford himself. It is much more music focused than Confess was, but that is the point. I found the ending of the book quite moving too.

All in all. Great listen and a must listen for Priest fans.

Heavy Metal Scripture

Rob Halford returns with his fifty years of wisdom being in a heavy metal band. Always interesting, at times very funny and occasionally moving, he is a gifted writer and speaks from the heart. The Audible version wouldn't have been as good without his familiar Black Country drawl.

As Rob himself says, he always has a lot to talk about so hopefully he has the writing bug and we'll hear from him again soon.

Another good book from a Black Country hero for metal heads. I'm not a metal head but I have found both books to be informative, interesting and delivered in a very engaging style.

Rob's interesting insight.
