Black Heart is the fifth book in the Black Bandit's series and can be read as a standalone, but it's definitely more fun if you're familiar with the previous volumes.
I was very curious about Ian's story, and yeah, the wait is over!
As always, the writing style is wonderful and very entertaining, and I was quickly drawn into the story.
Natasha, alias Calypso, has actually come to take revenge on Ian. And yes, I admit, I wasn't a big fan of Natasha until now, but that changed in this volume. Because here we find out why Natasha did all this in the past. I liked Ian from the start, and he is very protective of Natasha, even though he is not yet entirely convinced of her motives. The chemistry between the two is very exciting, so it's no wonder that a romance develops. However, this is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, combined with lots of action and unpredictable twists and turns, which keeps the tension high.
I highly recommend the audiobook, as Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet were fantastic narrators who portrayed Ian and Natasha very aptly. They have a great narrative pace and also conveyed the emotions superbly, bringing the story to life. I listened to the audiobook in one sitting because it was so exciting and captivating!

Natasha was the enemy Ian could not avoid to want to protect, Ian was the last name on Natasha’s list of revenge. At every meet, their sizzling chemistry was undeniable and therefore denying their feelings was impossible, specially when orders from the powers that be demand termination.
In this audiobook, Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet take us to a world of suspense, high octane spy games and international mystery where not everything is what it seems. What a journey!
