Black Ties & White Lies has a mix of romance, drama, and character development. Tropes include ex boyfriends older brother, workplace romance and forced proximity. This had good banter and angst with lots of spice in the last 50% of the book (4 continuous chapters). Narrators did a great job.

I love the whole story and how detailed the scenes of erotica was. Somehow i Would liked to have a deeper story of the between-parts threw the fake engagement. Byt overall a must listen/read book.

The story and steamy bits were ok.
I just really hate when the narrators do their own dialogue and then put on the voice of the other character… ruins the vibe of the actual story for me. Hearing a man putting in a feminine voice and vice versa

I liked the story, it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. I give it 2.5 on my scale of steamy. the storyline was easy , a bit slow in parts; but I loved the character development. the only part I didn't like from the story was the lie - for me that made 0 sense and the reaction to it seemed a bit overwhelming.

My problem with this one, was that she got mad at the end for absolutely no valid reason hahaha. Only to give “emotions” to the story, and they were not even solid ones. Yeah he lie to you, and you should get mad about it but it wasn’t a big deal girl. Way overreacted hahah. You don’t deserved him, you should’ve stayed with the brother since you chose to believe him instead.
