About this listen

Sam Blackman is an angry man. A chief warrant officer in the criminal investigation detachment of the U.S. military, he lost a leg in Iraq and has been outspoken in his criticism of his medical treatment. Then, ex-marine and fellow amputee Tikima Robertson walks into his hospital room, hinting that she has an opportunity for Sam to use his investigative skills.

But before she can return, Tikima is murdered. When a journal dating to 1919 is found in Tikima's home, detailing a 90-year-old crime that foreshadows Tikima's death, Sam must delve into the area's rich history to uncover the murderous truth.

Really enjoyed story, characters and refreshing that there's no gratuitous descriptions, just a cracking good yarn

Good characters and a plot that flows and captured me in a wave of interest and enjoyment. Some good plot twists and sympathetic characters. Well read and I can’t wait for the next.

I can't believe that there are no reviews for this.
I've listened to over two hundred books over the last 5 years, ranging from Stephen King to James Ellroy
Donna Tartt to Alexander Dumas.
And I can tell you now that this novel is as good as they come - for a 'detective adventure '
listen and enjoy.
hope to hear more from the author.
