Part a forensic examination of the appalling actions of Big Oil in Mozambique, part a breathless adventure story set in a terrorist insurgency most of the world never heard about, Blood Will Flow is a fantastic read or listen. It’s propelled by the force of Alex’s writing, his rage at the actions of a huge multinational and his humanity in the face of the needless deaths of so many people. His story deserves the widest possible hearing.

I was reluctant to listen to this , perhaps the subject was too close to me as I knew Phil , we were close friends and shared many adventures across Africa , thank you Alex for respecting his memory, your characterisation of the man was close enough. The story is about greed and corruption and arrogance of big business lead by an overbearing tyrant , an attitude that seems to have filtered down to his management team at Afungi. Such a travesty that was barely a ripple in world media , well done to you for exposing this
