Wow, this was a cracking story to be sure. Full of twists, turns and god? knows what. Mercy and her clan are up against it this time. I loved it, could not put it down till the ending I again didn’t see coming. I thought it would finish different that that. Then there was this idea that is this the last book in this series, so is it? We’ll have to wait and see. Highly recommended listen.

Theo comes through amazingly on this conclusion to this story arc, for Mercy and her team. He blends the 3 current series of characters seemless as always, and sets up the next Sebastian Winter novel perfectly.

I would recommend seeking the reading order of this series, the Sebastian Winter series and the Druid Detective Agency series to ensure you read the books inthe correct order to understand what is happening clearly.

This kept me on my toes, and I loved each twist and turn. Mercy never saw herself as a mother, but now she has an heir to her throne as the Bloody Vampire Queen, a loving partner, and a new coven of vampire witches, who like her and Hayley are blood witches. A fresh set of Old World Vampires arrive to swear fealty and of course the ever loving hellhound.

Highly recommend this book.
