I was determined to listen to the end although I thought the narrator did not suite this book at all, the voice far to posh, would have been much better with a real cockney reading it, very off putting indeed, and the attempt at singing was really terrible, even laughable, who ever picked this narrator .

It was lovely to be taken back to years before my time, where my grandmothers voice spoke through the words of this book. The hardships people went through, the bully husbands and the lovely memories This book is well worth a listen If you still have grandparents? talk to them about past times uts amazing what they remember.

story with some really nice characters in, the storyline had me gripped from the start. The narrator was very good with the different voices she used.

I love love love these books for me personally this book had everything, nostalgia, a love story, a bit of a thriller and all beautifully read. Can’t wait to read another.
