RILEY

My family is trying to marry me off to a monster.

A much older monster who’ll pay extra for my virginity.

There’s no way I’m going through with this so I do the only thing I can think of.

I turn to the enemy for help.

Kieran Sullivan seems to hate me for some reason.

So when his brother, Ronan, suggests a fake marriage between Kieran and I, I’m hesitant.

But I have no other choice.

Sullivan’s need my help as much as I need theirs.

I have evidence that can help them catch their father’s killer.

Falling for Kieran is the last thing on my mind.

I don’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late.

Just when I think things couldn’t get messier, I see those two little pink lines on the pregnancy test.

KIERAN

There’s something about Riley that I don’t trust.

She holds the key to finding out who killed my father, information she refuses to hand over until she feels safe.

I agree to be in a fake marriage, even though I’m against it.

I thought pretending to be in love with her would be easy, I thought there was no chance I’d develop feelings for her.

Turns out, I was wrong.

Now everything I thought I never needed is at risk of slipping away from me.

Broken Lies is Book 1 of the second duet in The Sullivan Mafia Series, featuring an enemies to lovers fake marriage mafia romance. Riley and Kieran’s story continues and concludes in Bound Lies.

This book is part 1 of a duet so the burn is slower with alot more room for character development, which i love. I felt a connection to the characters immediately, they were written so well- kira managed to make a grumpy arsehole and a stubborn, brittle mafia princess likeable and relatable; writing in a way that made such a difficult seeming relationship feel real and develop naturally

NARRATION

heather firth is one of my favourite female narrators. The emotion she portrays really makes you feel for Riley- i wanted to give kieran a smack on behalf of her quite a few times! Heather is excellent at seperating the characters voices, making each feel like their own person. They never feel like an afterthought.

James Cassidy is one of my favourite male narrators, ive always been a fan of extremely emotive performers, and james is one of the best. He really goes for it in the audio and the listener can feel his energy in the end product. Also his Irish accent? Impeccable.

Together the pair match beautifully, creating a seamless and natural icing to kira coles story cake (no I'm not hungry i promise).
Heather and James exceeded expectations with this duet audio!!

fantastic romance
