I don't know how ML Hamilton does it, but somehow she turned the finale to a fantastic series into a beginning. Zion Sawyer and Tate Mercer's story is only just beginning though their shared passion for solving murder mysteries is ending. And what a way to end! This book has the expected humour, suspense, drama and sense of community enjoyed in the previous books. But there is also a symbolic closure, not just for the innocence in the case Zion and Tate are involved in, but also for our characters and for Sequoia.

As far as being the end of the series, it wasn't bittersweet or sad. A lot of that has to do with ML Hamilton's plans for Sequoia. I am just glad we will have the opportunity to visit the town again and meet these beloved characters.

As usual Kelley Hazen provides a stellar performance of the book. I constantly forget that she is just one narrator and not a team of voice actors. Each character has his or her own voice and personality which is demonstrated in the audible presentation of the story.

I highly recommend this book it’s amazing, great storyline and awesome characters. What a great finish to the series.
